marakai results !

hi :)
As you may have seen from my previous blog post, my friend Hana and I were in a cooking competition. It was held at Gisborne Intermediate, and we competed against all the other schools in Gisborne, up to Intermediate. It was lots of fun and we really enjoyed it! There were some other amazing dishes! We made Chicken and Bok Choy Gyozas, with Nori Miso Soup and lemongrass infused dipping sauce. Gyozas is the Japanese word for our dish. Our dish was Japanese themed. Here is a photo below. We came first for our main dish and got the most independent workers.

  1. Well done girls - you both look so happy with your results! Was the competition hard? Did you have to do it in a set time like on Masterchef? I wish I had got to taste some of your dish - it looks like it would be a taste sensation! Wishing you happy holidays... Koka Ngaire

    1. Hi Koka Ngaire!
We are really happy with the results! Yes, the competition was a bit hard at the start but as we got going we got calmer and knew what we were doing. Our set time was an hour, we had plenty of time for our dish and we made lots extra and ate them ourselves!
